Open a PDF in the manual redaction workspace, mark the sensitive areas, and export a new PDF. Manual redaction includes one Free PDF per installation; upgrade to continue.
Rebuild the selected regions into the output
CloakDoc renders each page, covers the selected regions, and creates a new PDF from those page images. It does not copy the original text layer, annotations or attachments into the result.
Review every page
You decide which areas need removal. Names, signatures, images and contextual clues can remain visible outside the marked regions. Reopen the exported PDF and inspect every page before sharing it.
Understand the output format
Rebuilt PDFs are image-based and lose source text searchability, interactive fields and original vector detail. Keep your source separate from the reviewed redacted copy.
