Audio redaction and CloakDoc’s current scope

CloakDoc does not currently provide audio playback editing, speech transcription or audio redaction. Its document tools cannot remove a spoken name from a recording.

What an audio workflow needs

A suitable audio tool must let you locate the relevant time ranges, remove or replace those samples, and export a new audio file. Review the beginning and end of each edit, every channel, and the full recording. A transcript alone cannot confirm that the sound has been removed.

Common sources of missed information

Personal information may appear in overlapping speakers, quiet background speech or several channels. Automatic transcripts can mishear a number or omit a name. Recording metadata and filenames can identify people even after the spoken sections are edited.

Where CloakDoc can help

If you already have a PDF transcript, CloakDoc can process that document using its supported identifier rules. Review names and narrative details separately. Editing the PDF transcript has no effect on the original audio, subtitles, backups or other versions.

Choose a tool for the source format

For audio removal, use a dedicated editor that produces a new recording and inspect the result before distribution. Keep the original restricted according to your own retention policy. CloakDoc’s available functionality is described in the product overview; no audio feature is included in the current plan claims.
