Document content
Normal document processing and text recognition run locally on your device. CloakDoc does not upload document content to its payment or licensing services as part of these operations. Your selected source documents, temporary working files and exported results may exist on your device. Batch source files may persist in local browser storage until you use Clear Queue or clear the site's storage.
Purchases and license activation
We process purchase and subscription references, plan information, customer name where supplied, device identifiers, device type, public keys and activation timestamps to verify purchases, manage device limits and prevent license misuse. License records are stored using Cloudflare D1. The app also stores license and device information locally; the Windows app can use the operating system's credential storage.
Support
The contact form sends your name, email, optional company, subject and message to our support service. Resend delivers these messages. Send only information needed to resolve your request.
Website infrastructure and service providers
Cloudflare hosts the website and backend and may process network information such as IP addresses and request metadata for delivery, security and service operation. Paddle processes purchase, billing and payment information under its own privacy notice. Service providers may process data outside your country.
Local storage and retention
The app uses browser or device storage for settings, license state and batch working files. Clearing site storage may remove these records and require activation again. Purchase, licensing and support records are retained as needed to provide the service, resolve issues and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. Contact us about deletion; some records may need to be retained for legal or fraud-prevention reasons.
Your choices
You can stop processing, clear the batch queue, remove local exported files and clear browser storage. Contact us to request access, correction or deletion of personal information we hold. Available rights depend on applicable law. Paddle handles requests relating to payment data it controls.
